A Fictional Diamond?

January 27, 2009

Opponents of critics of the Amway/Quixtar/MonaVie business have been known to say, “Anyone can put up negative and false information on the web. Do you believe everything you read on the Internet?” These proponents would often attack the messenger in the misguided attempt to discredit the valid message.

What if we turned the tables around, however?

I’ve been following the adventures of new IBO Bill lately. He just hit 1000PV and recently attended his first Winter Conference. By all accounts, it would seem Bill is becoming successful in his new venture. For the record, I would like to believe that he’s a real person out there building this business.

That said, I’ve always wondered what would happen if a Diamond or even the Corporation were to create a blog detailing the fictional exploits of a brand-new IBO on his or her way to Diamond, a sort of lonelygirl15 for MLM companies. Would people believe the stories coming out of this blog? Would this help motivate others to build the business, however fictionalized the account might be?

Readers of this blog, do you think this would fly? Would critics and supporters be able to tell if such a blog was being faked? There have been so many stories — both pro and con — written about the Amway/Quixtar experience that creating a fictional account would not be difficult. They say that truth can be stranger than fiction. What about fiction based loosely on true events?

I checked out that blog and it seems legit. Of course, he is new and “gung ho” in the business. In the big picture, reaching 1000 PV is nice but is it sustainable? Eventually there will be “do nothing” IBOs, or IBOs who quit. I wonder if “Bill” can sustain that kind of growth? I also noticed that Bill has not put out much expenditures on tools. I am fairly certain that his upline will soon set the hook on him.

Oh yes, and tex has started to pollute another blog with his nonsense.

I’ve suspected this blog and Bill as a fraud from the beginning. Strange, that you should also question this blog as well?

I would like to add that in the past, there were blogs run by apparent IBOs. One of them I believe went up to the platinum level, or so he said. Well, within the last year or so, he apparently quit and removed his blog. Even on more popular blogs, it appears that IBOs come and go. They drop by to defend Amway with their lives and then presumably, they quit, never to be heard from again. I bet “Bill” ends up in the same boat eventually. Even if he pushes onto emerald or diamond, that would be verifiable to some degree. I’ll be checking up on Bill every now and then.

    Bill, or the shill?

Joecool; care must always be taken in forming judgments and opinions of the dark-side forces, which after all, are rife with deceit and ‘covert subversive, counter propagandists’ which is what I consider this unknown person to be until proven otherwise.

Care must be taken in the examination of specific evidence, information, and documentation; otherwise, hmmm? What would a thinking person think?

Shouldn’t Bill be required to provide all details to completely verify the strong likelihood that he/she is a covert Amway apologist?

There are subversive moles, they attempt to infiltrate and then promote the criminal act of fraud. The veracity of any claim made by Bill, possible shill, must be entire transparency. Then again, even the documentation can be fabricated as well?

Another possible solution:, we inquire and ask NBC’s Dateline to follow the exploits of Bill (or the Shill’s) ‘climb to the top!’ Bill could do this all openly and in honor of ultra-kingpin, Orrin Woodward. Orrin, now ‘supposedly’ LORD ALMIGHTY of transparency in the tool king-pinning motivational SCAM CONS.

Additionally, the ‘pundit of deceit’ is involved in covert activities which are criminal intent to defraud–all on a titanic scale. Could a prison cell await crime and criminals like this along with his covert minions? Don’t they call these gulags in totalitarian regimes?

QIAC – Well, I’m going to give Bill the benefit of the doubt here.

Like Joecool, I’ll be following his progress on his web site over the coming months. The comments there will get better there once he bans Tex. He recently said he’s only bought one CD so far. Let’s see how long that lasts!

I think that he is a real IBO and is telling his story… I also believe he may embellish his facts a bit…it seems all IBO’s do this. He may not have started yet but I believe he will and I think critics and supporters alike will be able to tell when that happens. It will be the critics though to point it out while the supporters will look the other way and help cover up the lies.

If the blog is legit, and I think it is, I see it as an opportunity to ask honest questions. Do your uplines teach excessive consumption? Buying homes in cash, no job, etc. I hope he bans tex because he keeps taking the discussion off topic with his constant whining about the tools scam.

whats funny is that if in 2007 you (being Rich or Jay owners of Amway) would have approached me and said “we want you to do a blog about your sucess in AMWAY along the way” I would have ran with it and been totally into it, Defending it, BRAGGING about it, updating all my successes and what not, announcing Pin Levels and then……..yep eventually backed out, deleted the blog and “quit” the business like Joecool wrote about in this blog back in January this year. He’s exactly right.

I have seen it so much it makes my face turn red when people in my upline, crossline, and even in my own downline would do that and just spit all sorts of “I will NEVER quit this business and everyone else SUCKS” kind of garbage. I have to admit i did it too out of shear ego stroking of myself. But thats the IRONY of the business. Once i started thinking for myself and about really what is good for me, I started looking around me and not being obsessed when “so & so” is going to “RETIRE” (like convincing hundreds of IBO’s to NOT QUIT isn’t work).
However, these so called blogs by IBO’s ……its gotta be take with a grain of salt. I personally like THIS blog. where there is the negative, the positve, BUT MOSTLY THE NEUTRAL. Kind of like AA for ex-Amway “users” ha ha!
