Easy Street Blog Is No More

February 11, 2009

Well, that was fast. The Easy Street Blog is now showing a Blog not found error on Blogger.

Will we ever find out who Bill was? Was he really an IBO or a someone pretending to be an IBO? Certainly someone out there knows for sure, and he or she isn’t talking.

I like this quote from one of his last posts:

All in all, I was very encouraged by this meeting and I plan to work hard to keep moving up the ranks. I will continue to blog on my progress. I will never quit!

Famous last words!

What if find intresting, if Amway is such a great thing, why…why does the Supporters even attempt to deal with the critics…

And if Amway is such a big deal…then why are there critics..

***Sorry, the blog at has been removed.***

Maybe it’s because he has officially changed names. Has anyone checked

IMO, “Bill” was a kool aid drinking IBO who discovered the truth. I would guess that Bill’s experience is not all that uncommon. I wonder if he quit and what happened to his downline?

Interesting indeed!!!! Maybe he just got tired of dealing with Tex? But then why go through all of that to remove the blog and not just ban him like the rest of the world has done??? I am guessing that another has bit the dust!!!

    I have two theories:

First – his upline got a look at it. He said he was going to see them last night. I don’t know if someone else warned him, but I didn’t, that they will have an excuse for EVERYTHING and do all they can to break from the ‘negatives’ who don’t care about him. That’s pretty sinister but not as sinister as:

Second – IBOFB sent him an email. I assumed it was re: Tex. Perhaps in the email he told ‘Bill’ not to waste his time with us ‘dreamstealers’ and to listen to his upline? After claiming BWW is one of the ‘bad’ AMOs up there he leaves Bill to the wolves? Or – he warned Bill not to engage us and he could ‘guide’ the young one through his Amway experience, seeing as Amway is indeed the answer to your dreams whether you actually do it or not…

Strange circumstances indeed. It is hard to say what happened and who this mysterious person was.

Recently I had a run in with a Amway Global employee who had left a comment on one of my blogs saying that Amway products were crap. This same person continues to visit my blog, and after careful evaluation, the unknown blogger most likely is Beth Dornan. What finally began to give her away was her search criteria and entry pages–pages visited prior to downloading my web page. The point here? These folks will go to any lengths to provide subversive information in anonymous matter. Not that I care so much about this use of Bill and even of my persona. There was just something that stank badly about this shill’s writing, and most importantly with his supposed advancement in the scheme. None of it added up to me. But then again, Bill may very well have been just another in a long line of people getting involved, finding out the truth, and quietly going away. Hmmmm?

Possible even Internets troll Tex, the anti-tool critic might have been fabricating this wild Bill blarney, found out he couldn’t carry it off and pulled the plug, much the way the pundit of deceit pulled the plug on his old TTAA Talk Forum? (Oh, maybe Amway will force him to pull the plug on his new Scamway Talk? What an embarrassment the Swedish Swindler is, especially to the Ada Michigan families.

I wonder what IBOFB emailed to Bill? I wonder if it was about Tex, or maybe to shut down the blog and stay focused on his cult activities? IMO, it seemed like Bill was waivering on his belief in the business and his upline.

  10. February 12, 2009 4:11 am

Disappointing to see Bill’s blog vanish. To us, Bill seemed like a genuine IBO. It was fascinating to read about his experiences with each new post. We liked how he was willing to pose questions, answer questions, talk about his experience openly and consider all views, whether given by critics or supporters.

So what happened to him? our guess is that perhaps his upline got sick of Bill continually asking questions (read thinking and analysing things for himself) about the “business”, questions that arose from the info that was given to him by the commentators on his blog?

How does upline deal with all the questioning? Easy….”counsel” Bill to stop wasting time posting on the net and to stop listening to “negative” people.

Or perhaps Bill simply felt that he was succeeding and progressing well in the “business” and so he’d devote more of his time working it?

We can speculate all we want as to what happened to Bill and his blog, but only he knows the truth. Hope he pops up somewhere sometime to reveal it.

My Amway conspiracy theories are a little undeveloped in this area…

…why would Amway put subversive material on the web about itself?

  12. February 12, 2009 8:33 am

    Maybe Tex tried Blackmailing Bill?

There were 3 tornadoes in Oklahoma this week…I am waiting to see the post about how they were Amway’s fault. Now all those displaced people will need to find a way to make extra money and they will need consumables so what a perfect way to make that happen but to cause tornadoes!!!

Please…this is as simple as an IBO who either quit, or was coached by upline to not deal with the dream stealers. No conspiracy.

Ironically, we had a small tornado in Hawaii as well. It tore up a nice golf course.

Regards to Bill, I wonder if he went from up and coming Amway star to broke loser all in a few days?

Why would (Beth Dornan?) post derogatory information about Amway products?

Amway does a ton of hokey ‘internet’ initiatives…but I’m just not getting why obviously negative information would be included. Disinformation campaign to say “Aha! The only ‘negative’ critics can find about Amway is the stuff we put out there as bait!”? They can’t be THAT stupid…oh, wait.

There’s a lot of finger-pointing on both sides regarding anonymous bloggers and their real identities. Unless you have definitive proof (and sometimes the same IP address for a comment is not proof enough), it doesn’t serve any good to make accusations.

  17. February 13, 2009 10:08 am

The commentor’s path was an Alticor account, and the IP Address of the person leaving the comment is pretty much a constant. The IP Address is most likely that of Beth Dornan as I have since deduced. The point being that she left an anonymous comment, which ‘by design’ was to defend Amway by through deceit, masquerading as an unknown ‘dude’, while the reality of the situation is that her IP address is indeed traceable back to at least a computer she uses.

The ‘anonymous’ comment was in reply to Marge’s Story Post that I did a month or so back.

Had this comment been generated by one of the other Amway Zealots, like Bridgett, or IB(fighting back tears)guy , I would have known those facts just as well. What’s not to understand? I just wanted to clarify the situation since some degree of misunderstanding exists.

It would seem that this Bill, who ever it was, got cold feet and could not carry off the ‘story’ any more. Then again, who really can say? Speculation.

  18. February 13, 2009 11:37 am

Have you received another comments from Alticor people? It’s possible (I don’t know how their network is configured), but all of Amway could be responding from a single or a bank of shared IP addresses. Thus, multiple computers on the Amway network could on your end have the same IP address.

  19. Joecool permalink
    February 13, 2009 11:43 am

I have seen different IP addresses from Alticor.

I believe they also have some kind of setup in California, or at least I believe I saw an IP address from Cali that said “Alticor”.

  20. February 13, 2009 11:54 am

Amway’s California and Michigan networks are likely on different subnets and would have different IP addresses. One office group in Ada, however, might have the same outbound IP address, which is why I stress caution when saying, “I know that this person is so-and-so because they have the same IP address.” You could be right, but you could also be wrong.

BTW, I sent Bill an email when I first commented on his blog, warning him about Tex and the conference calls. I also emailed him to ask what happened. In both instances, he did not respond.

    February 13, 2009 12:50 pm

BTW, I just checked my site meter on Joecool’s blog and there are two different Alticor IP addresses that visited today.

  23. February 13, 2009 1:30 pm

Here goes my conspiracy mind… If Bill only communicated through his blog and never through email, maybe something fishy was going on?

  24. mike permalink

The idea of a “pro” Amway person posting under an anonymous blogger, and making negative comments about Amway, would be a means to create a dialouge with a known Amway supporter, and they can “direct” and control the discussion.

It seems the purpose of Tex is to dominate the blog and clutter the discussion, so any outsider may stop keeping up with all the garbage. If they follow, His preaching of the evils of the Tools scam, and since he is so over the top, he becomes an invalid spokesperson..and if he is such an idiot, then his “tool scam” may be as well..

As far as Bill, he could very well who he says he is. I tend to follow that, since he was not negative towards those “critics” that gave advice, no one of them told him to quit, but to be aware of what is going on..

Anyhoo…I hope that Bill lets us know if he either wised up, or is walking the beaches of the world..

In response to the comment above by QIAC, I want to let you know that when I respond or comment in other blogs, forums, or chatrooms, I do so with my real name and by disclosing my affiliation with the company (if that is not already known.) So whoever made the comment claiming to be an Amway Global employee may have been someone who works here, but it sure wasn’t me.

If this isn’t already evident through my blog posts over the past four years, I’m a stark raving fan of Amway Global’s products. Whether I was an employee or not I’d still be a loyal customer of the Artistry Time Defiance system, Nutrilite Double X and Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables and the SA8 Laundry System, among others. But I won’t bore you with the full list!

    Beth Dornan,
    Marketing Services,
    Amway Global

Editors Note: This comment was unnoticed in my unapproved section for a few days. Apologies on not getting it up sooner.

Well, “Bill” has not resurfaced. I guess his story is typical. Sign up for Amway. Get fired up, get upline shoving indoctrination down your throat and end up (apparently quitting. I could be wrong, but I cannot imagine someone would continue in the business and discontinue their website after the start he claimed to have achieved.

  27. February 19, 2009 8:05 pm

I’m not so sure. After all, he was experiencing success doing things his own way. Why stop when you have a disagreement with your upline? Something doesn’t add up in this case.

I guess the mystery is why shut down the blog if success is still happening. I would have enjoyed reading about a “tools free” successful IBO.

What??? No witty come back from QIAC about Beth Doran’s comment? People really should stop making connections that don’t exist. Critic or IBO…it is foolish and it makes you look just as foolish.

I still think this IBO was told to take the blog down. If you were following his thoughts from the beginning, he was in fact being slowly indoctrined. Maybe it is as simple as finally taking that last step and believing that the internet is the bathroom wall of society. If he was a fake IBO then it would seem logical for him to continue the charade posting slow and moderate success. By pulling the blog as he did kind of underminds any fake IBO sucess story.

  30. February 23, 2009 12:54 pm

I accept your explanation. Most likely it was another Amway employee. Surely it wouldn’t be hard for your IT staff to determine which computer and in whose offce the IP address originated at?

Beth, people may like any number of the Amway products. If they weren’t monopoly priced in Amway’s closed market swindle, they most likely could be retailed normally, not as part of some elaborate prosperity dream hoax?
