Quixtar RIP 1999-2009

May 5, 2009
tags: ,

It’s May, 2009, which means the final step of phasing out the Quixtar name is nearly complete.

Right now, if you go to, you’ll see in tiny gray text, “Quixtar North America is now Amway Global.” I would expect the URL to redirect to sometime in the next few days.

So there you have it. 10-years of Quixtar now gone. I hope that the corporation is earnest in dealing with the excesses and improprieties of certain Systems and their leaders. If they don’t, criticism of the business (in at least the North American market which I am most familiar with) will continue for the next decade.

But Quixtar is not Amway……. Oh oh!

Seriously though, nothing has changed. The systems continue to drain the finances of their downline with no interference of the corporation. The only positive I see is that it “appears” by what I have read, that function attendance is shrinking, as evidenced by the functions being held in smaller venues. Other chinks in the armor are appearing too, as we see diamonds in financial difficulty. Eventually, I think the systems will start losing more ground as recruiting will become more and more difficult as there is too much information out there to remain hidden from prospects.

The corporation is not about to do anything more than they have already done, which is blow a bunch of smoke, but do nothing.

They aren’t interested in being transparent, they aren’t interested in dealing with problems in their business, they are interested in one thing and one thing only.

Ironically, if the IBO’s were treating their business like a business like Amway is, then Amway would not be able to operate because people wouldn’t participate in such a money losing scheme.

    They won’t do anything.

We should start a pool to guess how long it will be before they change the name once again….
