Facilitating the Communication Triangle

August 29, 2011

Orrin’s latest post Communication Triangulation talks about conflict resolution. He rails against gossip and encourages leaders of character to talk directly to each other instead of to third-parties.

Yet, a portion of text that he quotes from Kibbie Ruth and Karen McClintock of Alban.org talks about how conflict resolution with a third-party can work:

A three-way conversation sometimes helps, but only if the third party facilitates without taking sides or having an agenda, without speaking for one of the other parties, and without adding to the emotional drama.

The purpose of this post is to facilitate communication between Ex-TEAM members and Orrin Woodward.

It’s clear from reading this blog that there are Ex-TEAM members who have grievances against Orrin Woodward and TEAM. Use the comments section below to air them out in a civil manner. I know the Ex-TEAM members will have plenty to write, so I am also inviting Orrin to respond directly1 below as well. Remember, it takes two leaders of character to participate in conflict resolution.

1 Comment moderation appears to be in place on Orrin’s blog. It is difficult to have a dialogue when the street is one-way only.

Well Amthrax, that’s where the problem is…. In your last sentence you posted “it takes two leaders of character to participate in conflict resolution.”
Orrin in neither a leader or a person of character.

Okay, how about, “It takes two to participate in conflict resolution.” ?

He’s not interested. That’s simply because he knows deep down that his “system” is full of holes and nonsensical theories that he has never been able to sustain, nor prove effective.

I made a comment on his latest post advising him of this opportunity for discussion. I doubt he’ll have the jam to show up here.

    Good post just the same.
