I Hope “Dumpster Diving” Won’t Be Taught On The Next CD

October 13, 2011

The TEAM Leadership’s tone in recent posts seems to be directed towards those who criticize the LIFE TEAM1 business.

George Guzzardo, he of the strategic default fame, has a new post entitled, LIFE LEADERSHIP AND ANGER MANAGEMENT. There’s a lot of “digest” in George’s post, but I’ll focus on this paragraph:

The medicine that the LIFE business provides is ideas. Not just any ideas, but ideas that have been tested through a proven leadership system. The LIFE Team business is about building communities and developing leaders. They use a set of principles that are tested and proven. The Team training system does not discriminate against social or economic backgrounds. If someone can buy a cell phone they can by a subscription to the LIFE business so the investment is not a major factor. You can afford to start an information age business by collecting aluminum cans if you had to.

Of course, the TEAM training system doesn’t discriminate against social or economic backgrounds because they want everyone to pay for the tools, books, CDs, and seminar tickets!

What about religious and political discrimination? Don’t bother joining TEAM if you’re not Christian, because there will be subtle and overt pressure to convert. And if you have liberal tendencies, forget about joining the LIFE TEAM, where ultra-conservative doctrine will be force-fed to you via the tools.

Guzzardo’s last line about collecting aluminum cans sounds at first like a joke, but though I shudder to think that he might actually advise someone who’s strapped for cash to recycle cans in order to purchase a Major Function ticket!

1 To date, I’ve been calling the combined business TEAM LIFE, but TEAM leaders are using the term LIFE TEAM. I’ll switch to this moving forward.

MAJOR guilt trip Guzzello Boy’s playing here. We have a cell phone but NO LANDLINE. As far as collecting cans go, yeah, I can see new TEAMers doing that in their zeal. It’ll wear off slowly once they realise what they’re actually doing. This is low, PC members telling struggling TEAMers to collect cans instead of figuring out real business stragedies.

Guess with a 99% failure rate, dumpster diving for cans would profitable in comparasion. 🙂

I remember when the alluminum can thing was used by the Van Buskirks in days gone by. Supposedly they did it to get by when they had a business venture go south causing major financial stress. Just leading by example I guess. If we won’t do the same its because we’re loser, couch jockeys.

    Amthrax~

That has got to be the funniest of your post yet…LHOL…bahahahah.. 🙂

Oh how low and desperate their teachings have become. They have stooped to and all time LOW. It is unconscieable..and demoralizing…Really George?…and after they come up with $150 bucks worth of cans…just to get started.. then…How is the 99% going to pay for the meetings, seminars, majors, standing order indoctrination, gas, a car to drive, food, projectors and bobble heads..and whatever else…they aren’t going to the funds for that collecting cans….

Remember that Larry & Marcie Vansbuskirk told this same story of collecting cans for them to survive, pay for their system while going diamond…

They have NO influence with people…so they try to have control OVER people.

Izzy & Burned out~ I agree…way too sad. What happend to the rhetoric ‘sponsor up’…

I only ask because a my best friends husband went to a meeting that was not team related. It was something about how the economy is going to get worse and what we need to do to prepare for it. He mentioned that the speakers were Larry and Marcie Vansbuskirk.

Did your friend mention what the meeting was for? Maybe Larry went back to work but I believe they are still with the team and also that is what they say in the plan. Could it be possible your best friend didn’t know it was the team the meeting was about?

He told me a little about it. This was several months ago so i am going off memories of our conversation. He said, Larry has speaking on how things are going to get worse in this economy. He was presenting the idea that people need to come together and pool their money so that they can survive through what is to come. He was also saying that you should not be building debt. It did not sound very “teamish” to me. He could be promoting this and contunue to build team as well. I just thought it was interesting.

Emily – Yes, when I was in Team I was told that Larry did economic seminars outside of the Team because it was something he loved and was good at explaining. This is one of the reasons (I was told) that Orrin has been asking Larry to put his economic thoughts on CD for the LLR series related to entrepreneurial communities. I believe 2 or 3 of his economic talks have come through system so far. He also was giving a very brief snipet of his economic talks during Tuesday night owls because so many people were asking him to do it. But I do believe his economic seminars are a completely separate business for him.

    Thanks Utbali~

I did not know that but, find it VERY interesting since, this is what Darkangelo also did… took up ‘speaking’ outside of Team.. to obviously make MONEY.. I seriously can hardly take the hypocrisy sometimes… so I think I will quantum leap back into a much finer reality…and be with my family. I think..’ used to be all in’.. that you should be seriously called an ‘insider’…lol. Thanks for your comments. 🙂

I recall a CD with Claude Hamilton talking about stopping for hubcaps and another with the Millitellos cleaning out garages for system money. They often recommend turning off the cable to change the kind of brain washing you get daily AND find system money in your budget. They tell you that they believe in Christ as their savior but everyone can believe what ever. Just know why you believe what you believe and check out what’s changed their minds. Then they get a little silly about the stuff they claim as absolute truth.
I find it hilarious that they talk about building communities and being servants then they demonize socialism as totalitarian and freedom stealing. Not that they are the same thing. Just that they don’t accept being labeled as evil family destroyers because of the stories of a few “whining thumb suckers” they shouldn’t tear down a different global belief system because of a despot or two. The abuse of power is the abuse of power.
