Is Orrin’s New Dodge Challenger An Income Claim?

October 28, 2011

From the LIFE Policies and Procedures document:

6.2- Income Claims
Because LIFE Members do not have the data necessary to comply with the legal requirements for making income claims, a Member, when presenting or discussing the LIFE opportunity or Compensation Plan to a prospective Member, may not make income projections, income claims, or disclose his or her LIFE income (including, but not limited to, the showing of checks, copies of checks, bank statements, or tax records).

Orrin’s latest blog post comes with a photo of a new Dodge Challenger car that his wife, Laurie Woodward, bought for him as a surprise.

Some quick thoughts and questions about this:

  1. Was Dallin Larsen’s Black Diamond MonaVie Mercedes not good enough?
  2. Is it financially responsible for a husband or wife to make a large purchase without notifying the other party? Is this something they are going to teach in one of the Finances CD?
  3. Is this car an income claim? Orrin doesn’t say it outright, but he does encourage everyone to sign up in LIFE:

I am a blessed man, not because of the material gift, but because of the love and thoughtfulness of the givers. My advice to everyone is to go serve as many people as you can for as long as you can for LIFE.

The idea being that if you succeed in LIFE, you too can have a car as fine as this one. Excessive wealth is part of the image that the LIFE TEAM Policy Council members are trying to impress upon their members. This is after all the dream they have been spinning with Amway, Quixtar, MonaVie and now LIFE. It is a false dream, however, because the majority of people involved with LIFE TEAM will never achieve these financial results.

Finally, this comment on Orrin’s blog about the Dodge Challenger is pretty funny. I think the guy, Kirk Birtles, is being sincere when he wrote this (bold emphasis mine):

Orrin Woodward…..you are going to be the coolest and fastest man in Columbiaville, MI!!! We are so excited to see your elephant charging. Its amazing what a TEAM of people locking arms in common purpose can accomplish! LIFE is a journey and not a destination. That souped up Challenger will just make that journey that much sweeter!!! That car reminds me of the movie, ‘the fast and the furious’ where the main characters are professional scam artists, in pursuit of the hottest cars in the world!!! You’ve got your ‘Eleanor’! You deserve it. Laurie is a sweetheart!

kb

Kirk – Your instincts are correct! I wonder if this comment will ultimately be removed from his blog. After all, Orrin wouldn’t want to be compared to a professional scam artist, would he?

Ha! I caught that too! Professional scam artist somehow made it through Orrin’s filter.

What a joke this guy is. Their rules PROHIBIT LIEF members from commenting on blogs and go so far as to report negative thoughts about LIEF or TEAM or whatever generic name they come up with in a few years!

How much you wanna bet that the new materials for LIFE are going to have to replace the previous TEAM materials? After all, you need the most recent information to show your prospects!

I wonder what the next generic name they come up with to hide their quickly spreading negative reputation within Google?

Once they start having to go with T.H.E. (Total Harmonious Enterprise) they may want to re-jig their methods…..

Funny thing is, even though it’s a rule, Orrin broke it when he responded to some critics on a post a month or 2 ago!

Even though he didn’t include the critical comment to maintain context.

He’s little big man syndrome at it’s finest……

P.S. His new car could very well be perceived as an income claim.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Hmmmmmm, that sounds familiar. Oh, right! That’s what it’s all about!

We’re going to eliminate negative! I love you!

    Gimmee your money…..

The FTC warns against making FALSE income claims and HEALTH CLAIMS. On the other hand, for consumer protection, the FTC encourages every prospect to ask for proof of (legitimate) income. We as consumers have a right to ask for this info FOR OUR OWN PROTECTION!!!!!!!!

    Switch~

    Kindling….LHOL!!

I don’t believe Kirk Birtles put that in by accident, it was intentional as a rip on those who say they are professional scam artists. But the most histerical part is those newbies and a lot of other readers won’t know it was meant as sarcasim, it almost seems like a freudian slip because of the sincerity he is trying to potray….lmao!

Did Birtles intentionally make that comparison? Oops! Someone else might soon lose their “business.”

I don’t get how selling Cds, books and seminar tickets is linked with “service” I remember my sponsor telling me he didn;t get paid until he “helped me” which is teamspeak for “I dont get paid until I sell you a cd, books, ticket or case of MV”

I think your ‘sponsor’ is a manipulator of words..or played simon says (brainwashed) just like the rest of the flock… I think he meant to say as you said.. he doesn’t get paid until he gets a (whole bunch) of people to buy their overpriced regurgitated rhetoric…and cases of MV…such service they provide.. them there missionaries are…lol

Chris Brady said, “Sweet! Congratulations! You deserve it!”

So tell us Chris, why does he deserve it?

Is it for the lies he told about Pastor Dickie and his family? Maybe because of all the foul things he said about Bo Short and Scott Larsen? Wait…maybe it’s because of conning all of us for so many years in that illegal pyramid scheme Amway/Quitar? Isn’t that what your lawsuit claimed, an illegal pyramid scheme? You both claimed it was the BEST business that there ever was for years and years.

We all know what Orrin deserves, and it sure isn’t that new car.

Pastor Dickie has posted two very relevant blogs on all grace blog spot. One about “The Carnal Christian” and “The End Does Not Justify The Means”.

I just read the blog just now, wow! Pretty potent message, that’s for sure.

OMG this is CLASSIC!!!! KIRK BIRTLES IS SUCH A NOOB…

To the NEW PERSON… this is the PERFECT example of his subconscious telling the TRUTH. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RARE MOMENTS WHEN YOU SEE A REAL GLIMPSE INTO THE TRUE REALITY OF THE LEADERS MINDS AND WHAT THEY’RE HIDING.

THIS COMMENT SHOULD BE BRONZED. WAY TO GO BIG BIRT!!!!!!!!!

Oh Goodness– Kirk’s post made me laugh out loud! “the main characters are professional scam artists, in pursuit of the hottest cars in the world” bawhahahhaaa!

**SCAM ARTISTS IN PURSUIT!** That is so on point! Good Job there Mr. Kirk! You have done an amazing job in your analogy!

Oh no..did Kirk actually allow his self talk to emerge into the realities?

ey wait, the big almighty, purely Godly, all-positive, no-negative bigwig Kirk Birtles watched Fast and the Furious? And I thought we were supposed to fiercely filter our media to include only positive, Godly, TEAM-approved educational entertainment?

“Is it financially responsible for a husband or wife to make a large purchase without notifying the other party? Is this something they are going to teach in one of the Finances CD?”

Ha ha, I wrote about this before – specifically about a car. It is interesting when personal finance and MLM worlds collide like this:

I was just thinking back to the old times…remember when Orrin said repeatedly from stage in 2008 that the Team would break 25 black diamonds in MonaVie in the first 12 months? Eventually there would be so many black mercedes driving around America that every town would have one. Ha! Guess they decided that 3 was a better number since Bill, Claude and George were never able to get it done despite their “massive” team growth in multiple legs…

*These are my thoughts and opinions only based on my experiences with TEAM

Yeah funny they all came into MV with HUGE groups already built in Quixtar, and still couldn’t get the mercedes!! That duplicatable proven system of theirs really is proven!!
3+ years later….. and they couldn’t get it done?

Yeah and who knows if the ones that did hit it ever repeated. I have to assume that as everyone came over there was massive volume followed by a major slump as people soon realized how bad they were screwed.

Brent~ You need to go to Teamscam.com and help out ‘the regular guy’…he is in dire need of the ‘facts’/ numbers…it is quite comical. It appears he needs a lesson on a lot of things..well the team comp plan…appreciate it..haaha. 🙂

I have actually taken the liberty of doing a compensation rewrite for Life. Which version should I show him, the one that helps people make money or lose money? I will be posting a PDF of the “new” plan so everyone has a side by side comparison of a realistic model vs. and unrealistic model. It is a shame, because in my estimation, the new plan would actually accomplish the mission they so proudly tout as they stand on stage. Kind of crazy how the words they say doesn’t quite match what is written on the paper.

I hope you plan on geting “PAID” some big bucks if they use your ‘making money’. But to me it doesn’t matter…no integrity… dictatorships are for ‘followers…doesn’t matter what the $$$.

Thanks though..I am pretty sure you will figure out which to show him…lol..he won’t come here.

Hahaha…oh, trust me, I will be posting it along with a copy of the personal leader that I email to Life corporate offices and OW. It will never be looked at, let alone adopted, but I am willing to offer up a solution to the current debacle. You see, I am totally positive about what they are doing and willing to lend a helping hand. hahahahaha!!!! right!!!!!
