TEAM/LIFE Switching to 3 Major Conferences Per Year Instead of 4

September 19, 2012

Policy Council member Claude Hamilton mentions that the TEAM/LIFE business will be having three major conferences per year instead of four. Another way to look at it is that these conferences will be held every four months instead of three. This will no doubt reduce the travel cost burden associated with being a faithful TEAM/LIFE member.

Hamilton also says that the growth over the past two months from the Summer Conference has been “spectacular” and better than any growth he’s ever seen; considering he’s been around the MLM block a number of times (Amway, Quixtar, MonaVie and now LIFE), that’s saying a lot. It’s a shame that there are very few facts to come by with regards to the profitability of the TEAM/LIFE business. One could quickly verify his claims if we knew how much people in TEAM/LIFE were making each month.

After all, they once said that Amway (and Quixtar) was the best business opportunity in the world. After switching to MonaVie, they said it was the best business opportunity. Those two didn’t exactly work out in the end. Now LIFE is “helping people get the life they’ve always wanted?”

One area that hasn’t seen much growth is in the number of new blog posts made by various TEAM/LIFE leaders. Some blogs haven’t seen updates in weeks or months. A couple of theories on why there has been little to no activity:

  1. Everyone is out building the business so they have no time to blog.
  2. The business is not going as well as they would have hoped, so they lack the motivation to blog.
  3. Blogging is a habit that they have not yet fully developed.
  4. They’re starting to realize that they are just repeating what their leaders are blogging about and don’t want to add their voices to the echo chamber.

Amthrax: Know what Hawkins posted today on fB (likely via twitter)?

    Two separate posts:
    1) “When people get close to you do they smell the smoke of battle or urine from wetting yourself? Success requires courage!”

    2) “Do you earn or expect your mentors time?”

Hey, maybe they gotta drum up more ways to suck people in if there’s less big meetings (just jokin’, but you get my drift) Sweet Jehosephat! Why would a Policy Council member talk about members wetting their pants! Sheesh.

  2. September 19, 2012 11:44 am

@Wisdom – thanks for the update. Another theory for the lack of blogging is that they are moving their communications more to Twitter and Facebook.

The “urine from wetting yourself” is certainly not what I would have expected Hawkins to say. Eww!

    To me it sounds like

“Look at all this time we have on our hands because the business is ‘growing soooo huge’. Instead of playing with our kids, we’re spending time on the internet!”

They used to bash the use of facebook and what not. They would use facebook as an example of community building because, facebook doesn’t pay you to make people to go onto your site, but TEAM/LIEf will.

But, they could be like anyone else…job hunting. Because, the business is flopping. Since the summer major, only 1 person was added to my main taproot. Haha. NO ONE is going to go Power Player. Soooo glad to be out!

Keep a close eye out, I wonder how many will say they are PP even if they aren’t? I have heard this is standard for some. Some example of intergity that is…

Twitter quote from Claude Hamilton today (this was right under Hawkins’ quotes that I mentioned at the top of this blog list today–Hawkins’ quotes had also ended up on his LIFE/team STEALTH public facebook page, so I went to Twitter when I saw he had posted there, too……..and found Claude’s quote): ” When I give you my time, I’m giving you portion of my life I will never get back. So don’t waste it. ”

Man, he must think he’s really an important commodity here! LOL!!

Like the part of Claude’s sponsor’s life he took when Claude & Lana brag about their sponsor being so committed that they (the sponsor) missed their own son’s graduation as class validictorian because they were busy doing out-of-town meetings for Claude & Lana.

What horrible priorities. To build someone up as a hero because they missed their own child’s graduation to do a meeting? Pathetic!

Did you guys see the new Amway commercial? Well, they don’t call them distributors anymore, that’s for sure….the customer is told something like: “contact your independent business owner” or some such thing….it happened so fast and I only saw it once.

Is it the “Postive” Commerical? That was another one of their memorized comebacks, they don’t “advertise” and put them millions of dollars back into the pockets of the “IBO” But there were only a few at the Top who saw millions, go figure. They ‘called’ you an “Independent Business Owner” or IBO, when you signed up. But I am not sure where the “independent” comes in, because what they didn’t own, the training companies/Orrin did”..We were slaves to the “system.”

The majority of the lawsuits in the industry are mostly over who “owns” the “distributors” or “Independent Business Owners” that is what is bought and sold so clearly there isn’t much freedom involved.

Sophomoric question: if they’re growing so exponentially (but I can’t find ONE blog page about the actual exploding numbers per se, i.e., they are just all parroting one another and are all, um “fired up!”), why would they decrease the number of Majors per annum? Isn’t their goal a million membership?

  12. September 27, 2012 8:23 am

So…that’s 3 in a year…but are the tickets staying the same, though? Or will they make up the loss in upping their prices in the tool room?

  13. September 27, 2012 8:24 am

er…prices of the tickets, that is, sorry lol

My question for Mr hawkins is are you mentor or a dictator?

  15. October 17, 2012 1:25 pm

What greed driven charlatans are capable of defies any logic and is devoid of a shred of humanity. The tragedy of it’s nefarious exercise is perpetrated upon, and borne by real people, the results of which are real life costs to the sheeple, whatever you choose to aggregate in their lives. This I find deeply disturbing.

The FALL these people are headed for is amazing………..Hawkins will be left broken and broke and no one on team can save him……..He talks a good game…………or does he really ????? Claudes time is important????? What about all of the kids that lose time with their parents because Claude pressured them to do business over family………..Don’t waste his time???? Are your friggin kidding me??? The guy quit the military, how in the heck can you trust him??? He left life long friends in Q to jump ship to Orrin……..nice track record Claude……I still laugh when Lana used to cry at the seminars about being away from Claude on a ship…….I guess when she signed up in the Canandien Navy they hid from her the fact that she would be working on a boat away from home……..Really???? And she cried when Claude would disappear on a special forces mission………Seriously???? and now they talk about their freedom……….from what???? Try to leave Orrin Claude………Oh and while your at it try taking 6 months off like you claim you could with your income stream………..get back to us on what happens………Orrin is the dictator and everyone else is a follower…..PERIOD……The system is their gospel and Orrin is their diety………Not a righteous one among them……….no not one………

Finally- My neck is sore from nodding my head. I can’t wait for the fall to come. When it does I do hope that people are there for them the way that others on this blog were there for me when I left. Even though these people have done unspeakable damage I don’t wait their lives ruined. I just want them to stop ruining other peoples lives. Not too much to ask.

The “FALL” Will come it is inevitable, you can’t do what they are doing and have done to so many people and expect it to last or continue to reap rewards and blessings. They will pay one way or another and they will be left broken.

” What about all of the kids that lose time with their parents because Claude pressured them to do business over family.”

That Finally, is the by far the most devastating of all. Our children paid a price that can never be paid back! But they know without a shadow of doubt the price paid and Orrin and all of them are as greedy and corrupt as the day is long, they lived it too! This they will pay for. So many children pay a bigger price than their parents in the business, they are slaves utterly slaves to it by default, this makes me sick how tell others to “get their children involved in THEIR business goals, that they will reap the rewards” and in the end those “rewards” are destruction and loss of their child hoods, this they should rot in hell for. The older children raise their siblings because their parents are gone 5-6 nights a week, and almost every weekend, they are robbed of their time with their parents! Parents would volunteer their children to babysit for their teams children for FREE, just to get those people to the events. Child abuse.

Children don’t do what you tell them, they do what they ‘see’ their parents do.

They are creating a generation of kids who will grow up and do what they have done; whatever it takes to get their lifestyle; cheat, steal, lie because MONEY is most important? They children too will package it and lie to themselves that they are “changing the world” or however they want, but the reality and evidence of the damage is undeniable. They created the comp plan almost identical to Amway’s to make sure their love of money continues to flow to the TOP and while stripping and ruining others for their gain.

I couldn’t help but laugh at your sore neck.

“Even though these people have done unspeakable damage I don’t wait their lives ruined. I just want them to stop ruining other peoples lives. Not too much to ask.”

I am so with you, but I don’t believe their arrogance and ruining of others lives will stop by their own choice, not even to save their own souls. What is it to gain the whole world and lose your soul?

It will take something bigger than life to humble Orrin and the rest, because of the need for power and power of greed they have let overtaken them. I can not think of more better fitting message than the biblical story of the Pharaoh to describe Orrin and others; and we all know how that ends.

They read this site and others daily but yet they continue to deny the evidence of their own intentional destruction on tens of thousands, they continue to intentionally deny that they steal, cheat, lie and how many lives they have damaged and ruined.

What is most important to Orrin, is people continue to falsely worship him, that HIS goal, HIS business, HIS money doesn’t dissolve, it is what led to the destruction in the first place. I would not if I had ten lifetimes ever what to be Orrin, or any of them. In the end Justice, will be served. I am convinced Orrin will never right his wrongs he has done to anyone, he will never do the right thing, it will be forced on him.

I’m reading the comments on and off, and I guess I’m ranting just a bit here. I know there’s many people quitting TEAM, but most seem to be people like me, just the small guys. A few big guys have left but for other businesses and are still MLM’ing and well off. I honestly can’t see Woodward and Co going down anytime in the near future…maybe ten years, and boy it’s a long ten years. Not sure LOL but I guess as long as they’re making money, changing names, and changing tactics, they’re going to buy more time with these crazy stragedies. Most people are rationalising it as they’re in for the teaching. I think my ex sponsor is there for the “leadership training” type thing, as that’s her personality. She has people underneath her but I don’t know the extent of her involvement.

About the Hamilton fella, I think he’s just as evil as Woodward. They seem to be buddy-buddy and all back in the Monavie/TEAM days. Now he looks like he’s making half the decisions like Brady is. I can’t see Hamilton being burnt, perhaps breaking off in anger from Woodward and doing his own evil thing to keep rich, but that’s just about it. On the other hand, if Hamilton leaves, that’ll leave a big fat hole in TEAM.

Sorry if I sound kinda like a party-pooper, but experience tells me not to get our hopes up high, and to be prepared to wait a long time before we see anything good happen. Mind you, anything is possible, miracles do happen, like TEAM being shut down by the American gov’t but still in the meantime, we should continue what we’re doing….researching business cults and exposing them in a professional and intelligent manner.

Anyway off my soapbox I go LOL

Elizabeth: I think the only thing I disagree with in what you pondered about–and it’s just a hunch–is that because they are really now NOT having a line of consumable/renewable/tangible consumer goods to sell like other MLMs, that I’m wondering IF, because of that, it might not collapse sooner, i.e., that the saturation might not hit sooner when everyone is inundated with about as many books/CDs, etc., that they can stomach? There’s nothing else to sell but the dream. I wonder what Mike Collins’s take on it would be.

Legend has it that in 1923, a meeting of America’s most powerful men took place at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago. Attending the meeting were the following nine financiers and power brokers:

the president of America’s largest steel company,
the president of America’s largest utility company,
the president of America’s largest gas company,
the president of the New York Stock Exchange,
the president of the Bank of International Settlements,
    the nation’s greatest wheat speculator,
the nation’s greatest bear and speculator on Wall Street,
the head of the world’s greatest monopoly
a member of President Harding’s cabinet.

It was said to have been both a celebration of their success as well as an opportunity to plan their future exploits and dominance. These were the captains of their respective industries and some of the most successful businessmen of the era.

But how did things turn out for these distinguished gentlemen? Within 25 years, all of these great men had met a horrific end to their careers or their lives:

The president of the largest steel company,Charles Schwab, died a bankrupt man; the president of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless; the president of the largest gas company, Howard Hobson, suffered a mental breakdown, ending up in an insane asylum; the president of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, had just been released from prison; the bank president, Leon Fraser, had taken his own life; the wheat speculator, Arthur Cutten, died penniless; the head of the world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger the “match king”, also had taken his life; and the member of President Harding’s cabinet, Albert Fall, had just been given a pardon from prison so that he could die at home.

And as for the Wall Street Bear, Jesse Lauriston Livermore, famous speculator in the stock and commodities markets, his end is perhaps the most tragic of all. A week after Thanksgiving in 1940, Jesse walked into the Sherry-Netherland Hotel in New York, had two drinks at the bar while scribbling something in his notebook, then proceeded to the cloak room where he sat on a stool and shot himself in the head. He was 62 and left behind $5 million, down from the $100 million fortune he had amassed just ten years earlier.

And the note he had scribbled?

“My dear Nina: Can’t help it. Things have been bad with me. I am tired of fighting. Can’t carry on any longer. This is the only way out. I am unworthy of your love. I am a failure. I am truly sorry, but this is the only way out for me. Love Laurie”

There are three major lessons we can take from this parable:

    1. Those who are on top now are not certain to finish in that position and are not guaranteed everlasting success or happiness.

    2. Be careful whom you choose to idolize.

    3. The life of a professional speculator is an unpleasant one, filled with highs and lows but ultimately unsatisfying and, in all probability, mentally ruinous. Look no further than the example of history’s greatest speculator for proof of this.

You can find this article here:

There are many articles on the web sharing these facts and are much older of this same story, you can search for yourselves. This particular one was just posted as you can see on 7/5/2010. I read in another article that at that time these Billionaires collectively had more money than the United States Treasury. I felt this to one to be a good one with the 3 major lessons added from the Forbes Article. I hope others read this and think.

That article is very sad at how everyone of those “billionaires” ,lives ended. It is obvious a vain venture to chase wealth. I am so glad I “woke up” from and am not selling false hope, a delusional material lifestyles, riches or material wealth; with Team/LIEF. I am grateful, they did what they did, it forced the truth out about the people we thought had character and were “Christians”. We are now blessed to have found out the truth as painful as it is, but glad I didn’t get to my last dying breath before we found out the truth.

That story is evidence Money, Status, Fame, “gaining the world”, will end so tragically, 9 out of 9 of the wealthiest, and their tragic endings should tell people something. The Team and LIEF can say til their blue in the face they aren’t about the money, but we all know that is ludicrous or they wouldn’t have stole people’s teams and money and would do it for free.

I am not passing judgement on the wealthy or know if those billionaires were honest people in business and their personal lives. I have nothing against nor do I believe it is wrong if you become wealthy, as long as it is Honestly, Morally, and Ethically. But as my great friend has told me not many can “dance at the top.”

Melanie- Your point is a good one. It does not mean that we should not strive for greatness in our lives. What the story does (at least to me) is to point out that material wealth and ill gotten wealth is not God’s will.

The fall I speak is not necessarily business………….I think it will be that and more. What I speak of is reconciling with your heart who you say you re and try to convince others of and who you are really. These men and women have much more to worry about than incomes in my opinion. I have seen leaders tell people to their face they believe in them and that they can make it big and then tell me to my face that same person will never make it. They tell people what they need to hear to keep them around and on system at all cost. It really isn’t any more complicated than that. That is why they read books like the 48 Laws of Power… keep over people. Sure they wrap it around Christianity but as all Christians know the devil knows the scripture and uses it as well…………..
