Although I appreciate the humour in this video, I could also sense the underlying desperation in the teacher’s presentation. I remember when I was inviting people to meetings & plan-showings, I *KNOW” people could sense the desperation in my voice. I was doing exactly what the fella Was doing, clinging to hope. Heck, he (and I) didn’t sound very confident.

Anti-MLM Kingpins are at it once more. This time, it is a new video circulating on Youtube that attempts to discredit TEAM and Orrin Woodward. Obviously, they hope that the average person who just joined Network Marketing will be swayed by their FUDs. Do not be a victim of Anti-MLM-ism.
I wrote the following response.
Hey guys, the video is NOT a very accurate portrayal of TEAM.
If time permits, I will drill in to all the places where the teacher should NOT have replied the way he replied in the video, because those sentences were NOT in line with TEAM teachings.
eg. Girl: “Is it a get-rich-quick scheme?”
Teacher: “YES! Who wouldn’t want to get rich quick?”
Official TEAM Teaching: “The keys to wealth are 1. LONG TERM vision. 2. DELAYED gratification. 3. Power of Compounding.” (cf. “Woodward Videos” at http://www.the-team.biz)
Do those words sound like, “Let’s get rich QUICK!!!” to any of you?
Humour is really great – but only if it is ACCURATE.
This is the reason why TEAM is hardly affected by most of the Anti-TEAM kingpins’ websites out there… they fail to reflect the arguments of TEAM accurately. Who wants to get into a reasonable discussion with an opponent who misrepresents your position? 🙂

@webelieved: I appreciate your comments and history lesson. Sorry if I missed this, but did you say you were RT member or something before? Also, you mentioned about Orrin slandering those who “left” TEAM. Where does Orrin do that?
What about Chris Brady, Tim Marks, George Guzzardo, Claude Hamilton etc.? Why are they STAYING? Why not celebrate their willingness to fight the good fight and finish the race? In fact, correct me if I am wrong, but are some of them not also downline from some of those who left?

Funny you mention the PC members RYKEL that stayed. They are the biggest PINS in the business and stand to make the most off of profit sharing. There are plenty of former Triple 100s that have left that can tell you the money is not good for anyone below PC.
Don’t get me started on the list of ACTIVE Triple 100s that are still in the business but holding on. There are a countless number of people profit sharing leaders, RT and Triple 100 that have gone bankrupt, back to work and sent their wives back to work while the men try to salvage the business.
That is just wrong, morally wrong. And yet they will get on stage and promote the business and sign people us as if it is a great income opportunity when in reality they are going broke and not making anything.
Back to the PC members, I would argue that they are staying because they are slave to the almighty dollar and will put up with Orrin’s crap as long as they get a decent paycheck. Moreover, you asked where Orrin says all these bad things? It is called a whisper campaign my friend. He spreads rumors like a gossiping school child and I have first hand knowledge of LIES and horrendous name slurs that he has called previous leaders who have left his business.
This is a man of God and the next great leader? Not so much.
Don’t toy with us, Rykel, your getting your cheques from the profit-sharing, not blogging. Money talks. And Rykel’s gonna stay where the money is! 😉

Have you read the Merchants of Deception or any of the other comments on here from those that had years of experience on the team and with Orrin and all the rest that you mention stayed?
For example the ‘contract’ that they wouldn’t let anyone read or have an attorney present and wouldn’t give a copy so people could take it to their attorney??
Can you name a business on the planet that would force someone to sign a contract and not give them a copy?
Or can you answer why they wouldn’t?
How long have you been listening to cd’s, reading books in the team system?
I also noticed in your comment on the video you pointed out something you didn’t feel was accurate, what did you think about the rest of the comments on the video, were they accurate?

The reason, in my opinion that TM and CB are still with OW is they are afraid of OW. CB is a very talented person, but he is really like OW’s little organ grinder monkey. He goes on stage hops around while grinder is playing his music and then when he’s done, OW pulls his cord and puts him away.
None of the have the balls to go out and start something legit on their own. They are in a panic right now because the walls are crumbling in on them and they hope they keep finding Rykels and Ryans of the world to snowball. Cult heads are not leaders. They manipulate, harass, intimidate, and embarrass those around them.
Those of us on here who have experienced highs and lows of this organization both from an IBO position and a TEAM Employee (there are a couple of those on here as well) position have seen the real OW in action.
I know for a fact the Claude Hamilton’s highest pin(Emerald) has left the business along with at least 2 other Ruby’s, this was his largest leg and it has not grown in volume in over a year.

I never really liked school to much other than the social aspect and did a few years of college but never really had the drive at that young age. Now, with some experience and some prompting, I’m thinking it would be of great benefit to my future and what I would like to do.

Former Gold – what were the names of Claude’s leaders that left?

Claude’s Emerald leaders that left were Mike & Natalie Richard from Moncton. I’m guessing they probably bought their Emerald pin and only got “paid” that one time. That seems to be the thing to do. They convinced me to do that to get my Bronze pin but I only ever got paid as Bronze that one time. But at every Team function, I was expected to stand up when they wanted to show everyone else how many people were Bronze and above. Eventually, I couldn’t take the lies anymore and stopped standing. I couldn’t handle the new people thinking that I actually made the Bronze average of $363/week according to the IDS. They had no idea that I only got paid as Bronze once and it was only the minimum $200 (10% of 2000 pv).
Claude’s main leaders (and the ones that he favors over everyone else) are Joce & Cynthia Dionne. They’re Ruby’s and have been since the day we switched from Quixtar. They recently went Round Table so they’re making all their money from the tools.
The thing I find funny is that Orrin, Chris and Tim all went Black Diamond as soon as they moved their groups over from Quixtar. However, Bill, George and Claude have all been stuck at Hawaiian Blue Diamond since they moved over. Doesn’t make MV sound all that great when not one leader has actually advanced in rank since joining MV almost 3 years ago.

Its true that the numbers from the Moncton seminar have majorly declined. A friend told me the number of people at the Team Seminar in January 2010 was around 480 tickets, and in December 2010 it was around 340. Of course this was just one person’s opinion… but he’s probably accurate.

I would bet that Claude’s pets aren’t qualifing Ruby. Logically, and if you’ve built the buisness this is a no brainer; if seminar and system numbers drop and of course if you have access to the visuals of the teams growth (numbers), also through the product side, that’s where the numbers DON’T LIE! But this is where you will either have to take “their word for it” ~never
From my experience “their word” is definitely what I think their “worth is”
Just like Amway or used to be (this could have changed, I do not follow the changes) once you hit it, you keep that “title” even if you never qualify again. MV is the same and I would even say they are almost becoming an exact replica, now that they have included an arbitration process (I haven’t verified) someone has recently told me; that’s in MV, the very thing that Orrin thought was a “habitual abuse.”

Your comments on the same ol’ Hawaiian Blues true and I would also bet they are not re-qualifing but yet they tout they are the fastest growing in all the world, LOL, even though Orrin teaches not to “read your own press” or “rest on your laurels” “he’s not impressed with a flash in the pan” and on and on ha what a joke; we know they are reading this and some like to even join us,not sure why maybe it helps their business grow, who knows they might be teaching something new, hmm.. maybe not quite the press they care to get but oh well.
Hey if they didn’t want “negative truth press” maybe they should have thought of that before they stole from people and all the other unethical things they did, just makes sense, doesn’t it.
Since they are such experts and “gurus” on problem solving, let’s see them reverse “the core problem” and reverse what they have done.
Boy, I wonder…. what they would do if people did the same to them or their children, you know steal their money or people to rank themselves or worse,and any other injustices? Would they think it was ok? Would “they or their children just get over it” “just love them as your brother,” “don’t tell anyone this has happened to you, at least not where people could see it,” deny the injustices and just buck it up and move on?
NO THEY DIDN’T: Well, at least it is clear to me, they created a whole slew of lawsuits against “what they thought were injustices done to them.” and a Whole lot of trash talking their “victimizers”, to the entire team publicly and the world (through the internet)!
Oh poor them how they went through the ringer.

I found’em – but made a big typo error – it’s Alex & Leighann Nickerson, they’re still in TEAM, because the site’s still selling one of their CDs – probably another one of Hamiliton’s pets. They’re probably Emerald now, not sure.

dwindled. Leaders will continue to quit and hopefully someday there will be an
end to all the madness.
Yeah, I was talking to an old friend who’s still in and he said that monthly seminars have indeed been shrinking. We used to hold them at the Moncton Wesleyan church auditorium, which can hold up to 2,000 people. Now, he said they had to go to the local high school because it just didn’t make sense to spend the extra money on the newer, nicer auditorium when there wasn’t as many people coming.
One thing I always found funny was when the leaders used to say from stage – “One day we’re going to have to hold these in the hockey arena because there will be so many people”. And then when we finally held the leadership convention (albeit just the Atlantic Canada area) at the hockey arena in Saint John, NB, they were saying from stage that it finally came true! However, there was only about 600-800 people there and you could have easily just had it at a high school for a margin of the cost I’m sure. 🙂 Too funny.
Of course the numbers are declining. A house built on sand cannot stand. Its going down the toilet into the sewage to be with its own kind!!! HOOWAH! Blue Diamond sewage still smells like shit!!!

I wish Rykel would come back and we can have an open and honest discussion with him. I know for any member of a cult it’s very hard to leave, and many are in denial. But since he did come on here to defend his business, I would really like for him to come back, review the information, and perhaps have an intelligent conversation.
I also have a question for Rykel, and that is why is it when we go to a TEAM meeting, that everyone seems to act the same and think the same? The environment itself seems warm, yet as we’re deep into the TEAM system it’s like we’re controlled by the leaders. Our way of thinking has been changed to the way of thinking of the leaders. To be honest, we all sounded like robots. Rykel, I am looking for an honest answer. When we go to a workplace, it’s not like that. Each worker has his own mind, his own way of thinking, yet each worker work together as a team to get the tasks at hand accomplished. No where did I ever hear that the workers in a normal work setting think like their manager, their principal, their officer, etc.

How about this one, how you would have to strain to stay awake at the Majors because the guru had to talk til wee hours in the morning, then you had the meeting after the meeting then the doors would open at 10am, and people would be crashed out snoring they would get their information through osmosis, holy crap this was true, this is a big sign of indoctrination, sleep deprivation! By the end of the weekend you were like a rabid animal contacting every person that walked in front of you, the maids in the hotels, bell boys, and the drive home you would continue at every gas station and truck stop that you would see a breathing body. Can you imagine what these poor souls thought of us? They must of thought we were on crack or something, or escaped from a mental institution, now I am not a drug user but I sure felt high on the indoctration! Well hey you go without sleep for 3 days and see how you feel, running into walls, all kinds of craziness. You felt like you were having an out of body experience! It is crazy how we deprived ourselves! I will say this the drive home was the best part of the weekend!
What about the crowd wave and the same ol songs?
Oh yes….the post cards and Major’s! Ah…the memories! When I got those post cards it made me want to punch someone! It was demotivating for me if anything. As for the Majors.. I would agree it could be a thread all on it’s own! I remember hosting upline leaders and going back stage to meet some PC members. It was great….until I realized they just said the same things to everybody! Wouldn’t want to say anything specific to me….you could Crossline! You want to talk about a thread that could explode?! What about that horse sh*t! Really? I can’t talk to or be friends with someone in a separate organization? Really? OK……

Wow~ You pretty much described it to a tee! You would have to spend the whole week prior just getting ready for this non-fun indoctrination sessions. We would pack a cooler, you would have to arrange a sitter pritnear a year in advance then leave right after work on Wednesday because you had to drive half way around the world, just to get there in time for the special beating sessions on Thursday! Wow talk about INSANITY. And the leaders really went to the weekend to wait for the opprotune time to as you say drag them back to get the newbie a new ticket! So many more stories but the Team’s mantra really should be NO FUN, NO MONEY, AND A NEGATIVE DIFFERENCE! Oh thank God that is all over! So many more memories! I agree this will be a 500 comments before long! Years and Years of the SSDD!

Great video! No wonder I couldn’t sponser anyone in MV. I didn’t know about the erection disorder cure! Like I stated before, I get more information here than I ever did at a Team function. Lol
That was awesome! It pretty much summed it all up with a dose of humor that had me cracking up.
It wasn’t presented as “get rich quick” to me, but it was presented as some secret new way to gain financial freedom and not even have a job. I went into detail on this in my post on Juicescam.com. The problem with that is it is a carrot on a stick, which the video correctly addressed when talking about how the “2-5 year plan” was far past for the teacher but he was still deluded.

In 2008 the dropout rate for distributors was 70%. In contrast, a typical US Navy SEAL BUDS class has a dropout rate of about 80%. Yeah, so basically, hitting it big in MonaVie is about as easy as becoming a Navy SEAL… think on that for a minute.

I just quit the TEAM LIFE “business” a few weeks ago, and boy am I glad I read this thread before quitting so I knew what to expect. First, the jerk who suckered me into LIFE had the nerve to want meet me at my house to pick up a few crappy CD’s and books she left here. Umm, I never wanted them in the first place. I tell her, “Tell you what, after you scammed me for over $300, why don’t you keep the crappy book and CD’s and we’ll call it even”.
That night, her upline boss sends me nasty text messages attacking my character, calling me “non-verbal” for refusing to talk to him on the phone a few weeks ago when I had concerns about TEAM LIFE, told me I won’t make a difference in the world without LIFE, and told me I wasn’t a TEAM player for not giving LIFE a chance and attending their indoctrination event in Columbus, OH. I told him was a jerk and good luck on suckering more people into his MLM scheme. He went on to attack my character more; I guess that’s what they teach the TEAM sheep over there in the advanced cult school OW teaches.
Boy did I learn a lesson: when you leave a cult, the members still in it will revile you mostly since they lost another income source. That’s the bottom line. No one in that TEAM gave two craps about my family and I. They’re all in it for themselves and their cult leaders.

You are dead on. Thank You for sharing!! Unfortuantely, You could read sooo many other’s experiences just like yours on here! It seems that is the ‘norm’, (including what we have witnessed and experienced). Your experience shows how people are mistreated when told their (free thinking) personal decisions to leave their ‘controlling’ totaltarian cult enviroment, imo and when others tell them their life is taking a ‘different direction’…how quickly they turn on you and others.
Interesting…when it comes down to your decision of ‘rejection’ of their scam and you taking that ‘different direction’ because YOU are “FREE” to go..then the attacks on your character begin (they say you are FREE to go but NOT without the blantant bulling, name-calling, guilt trips; the “nasty text messages attacking my character”). IMO, They act like malicious paracites, trying to suck the last bit of energy out of a person on their way out! Why can’t they accept people don’t want to be a part of the scam and let people ‘move on?’ How is this allowing others to FREELY go, again?! Any FREE Thinker see’s clearly; the Hypocrisy of these so called ‘leaders’ who ‘claim’ they are permantly changing others lives or “living intentionally for excellence.” Your mistreatment is: A clear example of how others follow their example.
Again, imo, just shows it is nothing but lip service… they pretend and fake the nicey, nicey (love bombing)..I love ya man, right up til they feel they have ‘lost’ or will lose YOUR ‘automatic’ dollars being siphoned from you and everyone else. It never ceases to Amaze me and the hypocrisy discusts me; of the violation of the very principles they ‘claim’ they live by, (supposedly “coach/mentor” and their “training” gets “proven” RESULTS? Not very positive ones, I might add! They also state they lead by example and pretend to be authoritarians and “gurus” on the subject.
ALL that supposed “conflict resolution”, living by resolve… Christian Principle Center Excellent Living, and ALL the BS “caring” about “helping” others “become a better person and better life” How is attacking others getting those results?….Just flies out the window when people tell them they NO LONGER want to be a part of their scam..but then again, those “principles” never did apply to them only everyone else! The evidence is crystal clear: Their Actions & Mistreatment…speaks for itself!

I feel for you, based on my experience and opinion is that you are not alone in the mistreatment and uncalled for bulling.

Patrick- Thanks for coming on here and sharing. I hope your stay was short and that you didn’t lose many friends in the process. I lost a couple good friends who are still deep inside the TEAM cult forrest. I will also add that the same thing happened to me when I quit TEAM. I also know I was talked poorly about at functions after I left.
still trying to get to a million people, I was in and luckily got out before the juice scam being an intelligent person when I was told that the juice would cure anything that ails you from glaucoma, to high blood pressure, & diabetes, and you could still eat all the junk food you wanted, lay around all day and still be healthy. I couldn’t believe the negativity I was gettin…they must spend most of their time reading the bathroom walls and watching CCN_ “constant negative news”….What’s wrong with these lazy loooossers don’t they know a good thing when they see it and know I have discovered..the future of the internet?
I even drove up in my 1980’s Pink Pinto..that matches my pink bible…they were jealous…what more evidence of my wealthy lifestyle do they need?..
I told them about my new 8th wonder of the world, patented, miraculous, backed it up with my mail ordered PHD Doc… Dr. Nose Picker..and they just looked at me with the deer-in-the-headlights-look…geez..I thought they must be watching to much of the blue hue..
I told them I had The brand newly developed nose pickin machine and a comp plan that pays infinitely with a whole bunch paid back to the “leaders” and “the product story” to go along with it and where it came from; It is quite an amazing story…It came from the hills with a few trees ( not quite the Amazon) but only better.. in The never heard of before county Nauru, that’s what makes this product so amazing.. which has the most concentrated gurus per capita in the World!
You should of seen the look on the prospects faces then…I told them they too could drive a 1980’s Pink Pinto if they would just follow my proven system..and would “do -the-work” they would become a Million-aire too!! That’s.. if they “never quit”…”I don’t promise easy but I do promise worth it”… but then those complacent nose pickin…. don’t wanna work,… wanna hand out and stay broke losers told me I was runnin a pyramid scheme, can you believe it?!!

Found a cheap bussiness I think paid $67 to membership , wife has merely purchased home products and has developed two (2) lines of new members over past three (3) years. Think 18 on one line and 16 on second line. Some own business and use personaly our products (amway) products. I have been selling hand to hand sales $40 a week to truckers I meet. Now have 1st event scheduled for retail sales. I anticipate $12,000.00 totale sales at this event. After expense I calculate $6,000.00 profit. You either got it or you don’t. And yes sometimes you have to touch a hot stove many times and suffer the burn/pain to even realize you don’t got a chance to become a salesman or saleswoman. This nothing into the all is mabey this here into everywhere and one thing you might not even still realize is that your another day closer to the box. Read OG Mandino “THE GREAYEST SALESMAN OF THE WORLD”, or “THE GTEATEST MIRICLE OF THE WORLD”, or if you still don’t get it try ” THE GREATEST SECRET OF THE WORLD” anothther day in you afterlife it is precious and language is a virus
