Greg Duncan Bankruptcy Auction

September 28, 2009

Scott Larsen over at Amquix.info has just posted details of the recent bankruptcy auction held on the Duncan estate. Readers will note that Duncan has been in bankruptcy proceedings for nearly two years now. One of the more interesting documents that Larsen has on his site is a proposed loan to the amount of $1,00,000 from Amway Global to Duncan’s various companies, including Sarshela, Inc., XS Energy, LLC, Seife, Inc. and World Wide Trust Company. As some of you will know, Duncan is part-owner of the company that produces the popular (among IBOs) XS Energy drink; he’s also one of the kingpins or Worldwide Dream Builders, one of the more prominent Lines of Sponsorship within Amway.

Upline leaders are supposed to be setting examples for their downline, and this certainly is not a good one to follow. Then again, when I think about it… perhaps they are setting an example for the vast majority of people who join Amway and a Amway Motivational Organization (AMO) like WWDB for the purpose of making big money. Most people eventually quit. Some people lose significant amounts of money. Some even get divorced.

I remember attending a function where Mr Duncan spoke about people making loans. I believe his response was “stupid comes to mind” when talking about loans because the banks get to have all that interest. Another diamond spoke about how the bank actually owns your home if you have a mortgage.

I guess all those mansions and luxuries were strawmen.

I wonder if Mr. Duncan will now join the ranks of the “many – a diamond” who speaks about renting homes? LOL

And I wonder how your finances are? The Amway Diamonds may not always live up to their own stated standards, but Amway detractors who put as much time and energy into it as this are even worse – in fact the detractors are pathetic

My finances are fine, thank you. In fact my finances got better the moment I quit Amway!

The difference is that I do not rip people off trying to sell them useless training materials and trying to deceive people by showing off luxuries that I cannot afford.

It’s the same with used cars. The platinums would buy the upline diamond’s used cars. If the money came in by the barrel, why not give the used car to your downline platinums?

Who is David Vanderveen? Is he a crook too?

Vanderveen is a co-founder of XS, the energy drink distributed exclusively by Amway. According to this Ty Tribble blog post, he is a cousin of the Van Andels (founders of Amway).

Is Greg setting the example by filing bankruptcy instead of paying his bills?
